Salary Grade: 213 Annual base salary: $94,583.02 Job Summary
Major Duties \& Responsibilities
- Utilizing a broad range of analysis tools and techniques to investigate, analyze and document the current business and\or technology state while ensuring the desired future state is in accordance with the identified business echnology goals. Various business analysis techniques\documents may include but are not limited to; brainstorming, stakeholder evaluation, problem identification, gap analysis, root cause analysis, process mapping, use cases/user story/business scenario development, and workshop facilitation.
- As required, act as a project leader. Responsibilities include managing scope, timelines, resources and risks. This includes identifying and documenting business cases, business requirements, stakeholder analysis, option\issue papers, fit gap analysis, story maps, behavior driven development documents, board communications, use cases etc. Monitor work stream deliverables and resources and provide ongoing status updates, identify and manage issues, decisions or risks and provide recommendations to resolve project issues. Coordination of T5007 year-end project delivery work.
- Act as a mediator between business and technical groups by translating technical information in order to obtain consensus when dealing with multiple business area requirements. Function as central contact between project team members, management, business owners, Information Technology Cluster (ITC), external consultants and vendors to facilitate successful implementation.
- Collaborate with clients and vendors to facilitate the re-engineering of or identification of net new business processes, services, systems and business requirements.
- Facilitate program development by identifying, investigating, recommending and overseeing the implementation of solutions to improve deficiencies in business services, processes, and programs.
- Sign off on Business Requirement documents, Requirements Statements, Technical Gap Analysis, Use Cases and Functional Specification documents to certify they are complete, accurate and a true representation of clients' requirements
- Coordinate and communicate user table changes and updates to supported systems to maintain authorization/delegation limits, payment and form schedules.
- Provide systems, business, technical and analytical expertise to staff, management, workers, employers, representatives, vendors and government agencies. Participate in corporate and divisional projects, initiatives and system support.
- Provide subject matter expert advice and information for RFPs and actively participate in the RFP creation and evaluation process.
- Provide subject matter expert advice and information for vendor and external project member recruitment process by pre-screening resumes, creation of work product content and interview process to evaluate and select prospective candidates.
- Develop and maintain ongoing communication linkages within and between the branch, WSIB and federal and provincial agencies for policy clarifications and understanding of new policy changes.
- Communicate with organization change enablers to identify current practices, processes, systems and methodologies to devise and implement strategies and support.
- Develop educational, instructional, and T5007 Reference materials (including but not limited to system training materials, user guides, handbooks, quick reference guides, T5007 Reference Guide, and user bulletins). Collaborate with other business areas and vendors to develop training programs for end-users.
- Deliver system training and train-the-trainer information sessions on important system or procedural changes to trainers, SME's and users with information to train and educate staff in their areas. Demonstrate technical hardware and software system changes to clients; provide information and facilitate feedback.
- Provide follow-up post implementation support by resolving problems and developing procedures, charts and matrices to familiarize clients with changes.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or required, such as all aspects of User Acceptance Testing. Other Duties may also include:
- Provide T5007 support and processing in alignment with WSIB policies and practices, and legislative requirements, including death notifications and Quebec Letters. Provide T5007 subject matter expertise when communicating with internal and external stakeholders as it relates to entitlement decisions impacting workers/survivors/employers.
Education Job Requirements
- University completion at undergraduate level with a specialty focus in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Commerce, Science or Social Science.
Experience
- 5 years prior experience in business administration, business intelligence software and system analysis and workflow processes.
