Your Moneris Career - The Opportunity
You are accountable for finance support to achieve Moneris' commitments to customers, employees and shareholders. You're responsible for preparation and data input of General Accounting activities to support Controller group activities, within the Finance group.
Location:You will be based in our Toronto office and will work in a Hybrid model.
Reporting Relationship: You will report to the Manager, Accounting.
Your Moneris Career - What you'll do

Processing of Accounts Payable, reviewing and approving expense claims, input vouchers, and performing payment runs

Processing of Accounts Receivable, support input of vouchers, payment applications, and invoice preparation

Preparation and input of Journal entries, ensuring adequate and valid back up

Prepare Prepaid Expense, and other month end journal entries

Perform monthly reconciliation, to ensure the accuracy and completeness of such, and analysis and resolution of non-reconciled amounts.

Responsible for preparation and filing of monthly Sales Tax returns

Provide guidance to other areas regarding Finance processes and procedures

Perform other duties, as required
Your Moneris Career - What you bring

1-2 years of experience in general accounting (experience in Accounts Payable/ Receivable considered an asset)

College diploma/ degree in accounting (equivalent work experience may be considered a substitution)

Accounting designation would be considered an asset

Proficiency in Microsoft Windows/ MS Office Applications (Excel)

Excellent communication skills and networking abilities with internal and external contacts

Proactive, motivated individuals require minimal supervision

Ability to meet month end deadlines

Ability to contribute effectively in a fast-paced environment

Good organizational and analytical ability to assess accounting impacts

A team player and has strong attention to detail
