The Job
At StickerYou, our Zund Operators are responsible for operating and maintaining our large format cutting machines, ensuring volume and quality of final products. Reporting to the Production Manager, the ideal candidate is organized, quick to learn, interested in machinery and digital printing, and detail-oriented to apply critical thinking to solve problems.
What you'll be doing:
- Maintain high-volume, high-quality workflow to meet customer demands
- Assist with planning and executing large format cut loads daily
- Troubleshoot issues independently or seek help to minimize downtime
- Develop strategies to improve product quality, reduce issues, decrease costs, and boost morale
- Perform ongoing maintenance on Zund machines
- Learn from technicians to reduce outsourced repair costs
- Promote safe and productive work behaviors
- Complete special projects as assigned
- Communicate openly with management about concerns
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Windows OS, G-suite, and Microsoft Office (Google Sheets, Excel, Docs, Word, Gmail)
- Strong mathematical and technical skills
- Education or experience in Graphic Arts or Printing
- 1-2 years experience in the print industry
- Understanding of workflows and process organization
- Excellent communication and active listening skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for 8-10 hours
- Knowledge of print DFE software (bonus)
- Authorized to work in Canada
