Job Summary
Reporting to the Director of Development and Construction for Low-Rise Housing, the Manager of Operations will be a key leader in driving the successful execution of residential construction projects---from pre-construction planning through to homeowner possession. In this pivotal role, you will oversee project scheduling, resource allocation, trade partner coordination, and the continuous improvement of operational processes across active job sites. You'll work in close partnership with teams across construction, estimating, procurement, and customer experience to ensure every project is delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations across active job sites, ensuring alignment with construction timelines and corporate goals.
- Collaborate with various teams to develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring alignment between design, procurement, and construction.
- Lead weekly production meetings, reviewing progress on all projects and identifying critical path items and actions to address.
- Work closely with site supervisors and trades to resolve challenges, maintain quality standards, and ensure on-time project delivery.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and trade partners to support project needs.
- Collaborate with estimating, purchasing, and construction teams to monitor budgets, control costs, and manage changes.
- Lead the Change Management process, ensuring effective communication of new information, design changes, and customer requirements.
- Support the implementation of Cresco's new ERP system, including configuration, training, and ongoing improvements.
- Ensure the construction team remains focused on compliance with safety programs and standards.
- Work with the Customer Service Team to manage post-possession issues and foster a feedback loop for continuous improvement.
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership on project progress, risks, and performance metrics.
- Lead and support site staff, including Construction Supervisors and Coordinators.
Qualifications
As the ideal candidate you have a Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience, along with a valid Class G driver's license and a clean driver's abstract. The successful candidate will have 5+ years of progressive experience in residential or commercial construction, preferably in a managerial or operational role, and be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software such as Procore, Buildertrend, or MS Project. A strong knowledge of residential building techniques, codes, and regulations is considered an asset. The successful candidate will also demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects and teams in a fast-paced environment, showcasing excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Attention to detail, the ability to multitask effectively while working under pressure, and a strategic mindset are essential to thrive in this role.
