We're growing-and we're looking for a dynamic, experienced Business Development Manager to join our leadership team and help shape the future of our business. As our Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in driving revenue growth by identifying new opportunities, cultivating client relationships, and positioning our services as the go-to solution in the industry. You will work closely with internal teams and senior leadership to deliver customized staffing solutions that exceed client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients
Drive outbound sales efforts, including cold-calling and outreach in defined geographic or market areas
Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and potential clients
Generate and nurture warm leads through networking, referrals, and industry events
Lead negotiations and close high-value business deals
Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and client needs
Represent Duke Smart Staffing at industry functions, conferences, and meetings
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure client satisfaction and project success
Continuously refine value propositions and tailor messaging to align with client priorities
Qualifications:Minimum 10 years' experience in business development within the Shipbuilding/Defence industry
Deep understanding of industry trends, procurement processes, and key stakeholders
Proven ability to build rapport and close deals with C-level executives and decision-makers
Strong planning, organizational, and time-management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
High level of integrity and discretion when dealing with confidential information
Calm, professional demeanor in high-pressure situations
Skilled in negotiation, conflict resolution, and client relationship management
