What You Will Do
- Manage and oversee a portfolio of healthcare programs, collaborating with program managers to ensure budget adherence and providing actionable insights to enhance operational efficiency
- Take ownership of the monthly forecasting process, working with program managers to address significant deviations from budget and communicate significant variances to finance leadership
- Create detailed monthly financial dashboards to share with program managers to convey key financial results and insights
- Prepare detailed balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring financial accuracy and transparency
- Oversee month-end close processes, working with a team to prepare, and post necessary journal entries and perform review to ensure program financial data has been completely and accurately captured
- Lead the annual budgeting process for the program portfolio, working with program managers and leveraging program expertise to prepare detailed and actionable annual program budgets
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies in financial reporting
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data, analyze trends, and provide insights for informed decision-making
- Monitor procurement spend, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure adherence to procurement policies
- Prepare financial reports and presentations for leadership and board members, conveying key insights and recommendations
- Collaborate with the Senior Manager of FP\&A to prepare ad-hoc analyses, providing insights on as needed basis.
- Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment
What You Bring to the Team
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, or related field; CPA designation preferred, or on-route to CPA qualification
- 2 years of experience in financial reporting, internal audit, external audit, and/or professional services experience
- Advanced experience using MS Excel (financial and data functions)
- Familiarity with PowerBI is an asset
