Job Summary: We are seeking a hands-on and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead our skilled trades team during the NIGHT shift (11:00 PM -- 7:00 AM) . This role is responsible for overseeing maintenance operations, ensuring equipment reliability through effective preventive maintenance , and supporting continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment . The ideal candidate is a strong people leader with a solid background in maintenance supervision and a proven ability to drive performance, safety, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate the activities of maintenance trades personnel on the afternoon shift. Lead, coach, and develop team members while promoting a culture of safety and accountability. Oversee daily maintenance operations including troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
Ensure timely completion of work orders and maintenance tasks to minimize downtime. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment status, and spare parts inventory. Collaborate with production, engineering, and safety teams to support operational goals.
Monitor equipment performance and implement improvements to increase reliability and efficiency. Support and enforce compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations. Qualifications: \~ College diploma or university degree in a technical field (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial).
\~3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment. \~ Experience in a unionized site \~ Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance programs , troubleshooting, and equipment repair. \~ Experience leading and managing skilled trades and maintenance technicians.
\~ Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. \~ Proficiency with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)
