Job SummaryJob DescriptionWhat is the opportunity? In this role, you will execute customer due diligence for onboarding and client refresh in line with Regulatory and RBC Enterprise policy requirements for RBC IS Trust Institutional client portfolio. You will execute client risk assessments for RBC Investor Services Trust (RBC IS) institutional clients inclusive of Market Services (MS) business lines.
Collection of all client documentation is to be housed centrally within the AML/KYC application. The RBC IS Due Diligence \& Onboarding team is inclusive of other first line of defence (LOD) AML/KYC activities. What will you do?
Work with Business Unit Leads, team members and associated stakeholders to identify, formulate, validate, document and communicate existing (and future) AML/KYC onboarding and refresh documentation requirementsAct as a team member of the Centre of Excellence (COE) to ensure that information obtained is of high quality and satisfies the legal entity regulatory requirements inclusive of RBC Enterprise Policies and Procedures. You are expected to make judgement calls and decisions on the accuracy of client documentation verses the RBC IS regulatory requirements. Have a deep understanding of how to perform Client Risk Scoring, Client Identification, conduct name scanning and the KYC Onbording / refresh / remediation of the existing clients across multiple business lines.
The Analyst may be required to support other business segments as business priorities shiftUpdate RBC IS KYC systems and databases with the most current AML/KYC client documentation. Use significant business acumen, and influence to escalate high risk records or applications to AML Compliance as appropriate and obtain approvals as per established operating procedures. Track and report on onboarding and refresh progress including sign off status, pending responses, and action plan to obtain necessary information.
Identify, analyze, and escalate any risks to the manager, Compliance teams (Advisory, HRC, PEP, GES ) and other business stakeholders as appropriateComplete mandatory RBC training on a timely basis and keep abreast of current industry knowledge, best practices, and skills sets relevant to AML/CTF, and other related regulatory matters in support of the analyst roleParticipate in regular update meetings to identify gaps, address risks, and support process improvements or efficiencies that could enhance the workflow and mitigate risk. Assist with Ad-Hoc projects and initiatives as requiredWhat do you need to succeed? Must have:1 to 3 years of AML/KYC experience with a good understanding of Canadian Regulatory requirementsAnalytical mindset with the ability to manage several touch points on a continuous basis and deal with ambiguityStrong written and verbal communication skills to clearly articulate requirements and interact professionally with diverse groupsStrong time management capabilities to multi-manage assignments while contributing to meet (or exceed) team goals/targetsSound judgement and decision making skills when reviweing and validating information providedNice to have:Quick learner; adapts to changing environment, ability to get things done in a quick but accurate mannerEffectively communicates and builds rapport with team memberscomfortable working knowledge of ExcelWhat's in it for you?
