We're essentially looking for the mastermind behind making sure everything runs smoothly across a company's retail locations, as well as leading overall growth.
Based in Vancouver, BC, the dynamic and strategic Head of Retail Operations is responsible for overseeing the performance and growth of all retail stores across the country, ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and a world-class customer experience. Besides working with District / Area Managers, you'll work closely with the leadership team to deliver current objectives and go-forward strategies. While a deep understanding of the retail landscape is important, analytical thinking, people leadership and ability to build relationships with departments within the organization are critical.

Key responsibilities include:Strategy \& LeadershipSet the vision for how stores should operate and grow. Create and implement retail strategies to boost sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction. Align retail operations with the company's bigger business goals.
Store Operations ManagementOversee the day-to-day performance of all retail locations. Standardize operations across stores (e.g. procedures, policies, customer service). Identify and fix inefficiencies in staffing, workflow, or inventory.
Sales \& PerformanceDrive sales growth through promotions, staff training, and optimized store experiences. Monitor KPIs like revenue, conversion rates, customer satisfaction, and labor costs. Use data to make decisions-what's working, what's not, and why.
Team Leadership \& DevelopmentManage District/Area Managers and help them lead their teams effectively. Hire, train, coach, and support retail leaders across regions. Foster a culture of accountability, customer service, and results.
Inventory \& MerchandisingOversee inventory levels, purchasing decisions, and merchandising standards. Compliance \& SafetyEnsure stores follow legal and regulatory guidelines
Maintain high standards for health, safety, and customer security. Budgeting \& Financial OversightCreate and manage retail budgets, including sales targets, labor spend, and operating costs. Approve expenses and look for ways to improve margins.
Expansion \& Store DevelopmentLead new store openings, relocations, or redesigns. Scout new markets and help choose store locations based on performance forecasts and trends. What the successful candidate will bring:10 years of experience in retail leadership, with at least 5 years overseeing District/Area Managers.
Leadership experience overseeing at least 20 retail locations across the country. Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field. Strong operational, sales, and customer service skills.
Excellent leadership and team management abilities. Analytical mindset for data-driven decision-making. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Financial acumen and budget management expertise. Proficiency in retail management software and wage budgeting.
Ability to travel to locations throughout Canada. In return, you can expect:Base Salary ranging from $140,000 to $160,000 depending on experience, including Bonus and LTIP plan
