Description Underwriter, Residential Mortgages, AVEO Channel Canada - Remote Salary Range:
About The Role
- Adjudicate mortgage applications, adhering to established guidelines
- Perform risk analysis and complete appropriate due diligence
- Find solutions to deals that don't fit Prime/A lending parameters
- Review mortgage documentation
- Review information presented and address any discrepancies or inconsistencies
- Confirm appropriate due diligence has been completed on all documents
- Meet quality assurance standards
- Effectively communicate and provide excellent customer service while responding to questions, concerns, email and phone calls from broker clients with the intent to build and maintain productive relationships
- Prioritize work queue to maintain service level standard
- Respond to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders
- Provide liaison, support and underwriting expertise to all business partners
This Role Is For You If You Have
- You have demonstrated sound credit judgement with knowledge of legislation regarding risk related mortgage laws
- You possess a strong customer service focus with the ability to cultivate positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- You have 2-5 years of residential alternative mortgage underwriting experience
- You possess a highly positive "can do" attitude and excellent communication skills
- You take ownership of your tasks by working proactively and being driven by delivering high quality outputs
- You have the ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively within in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
