Role Overview:
The successful candidate will lead the organisation's transformation efforts with a focus on business process optimisation, performance enhancement, and cultural adoption of continuous improvement principles. This high-impact leadership role requires strong technical and operational acumen, combined with experience managing cross-functional teams and influencing through matrixed relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Transformation:
- Design and deploy a company-wide operational improvement strategy addressing people, systems, and workflows
- Champion scalable process improvements that enable agility, transparency, and consistent execution
- Introduce and institutionalize structured improvement frameworks (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, Agile) across business units
Cross-Functional Leadership:
- Lead a team of process owners and project managers via dotted-line reporting relationships
- Cultivate a performance-driven culture rooted in accountability, ownership, and results
- Partner with department heads to align improvement initiatives with strategic priorities and customer needs
Customer-Focused Execution:
- Ensure optimisation projects enhance both internal efficiency and end-user experience
- Establish clear performance metrics and regularly assess the impact of initiatives
- Leverage data to identify inefficiencies, lead root cause analysis, and guide smart automation investments
Change Management:
- Lead organizational change efforts by developing clear communication strategies and training programs
- Act as a visible advocate for transformation, consistently engaging stakeholders and senior leaders
- Build internal capability through mentorship and hands-on coaching in modern improvement tools
What You Bring:
Experience \& Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, or similar disciplines); graduate degree is advantageous
- 10+ years of senior-level experience in continuous improvement, operations leadership, or business transformation
- Demonstrated success in managing change across complex organizations with cross-functional teams
- Recognized credentials in project or process management (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma Black Belt)
Skills:
- Deep knowledge of Lean principles, process reengineering, and performance analytics
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational influence
- Strong command of digital project management platforms (Smartsheet experience a plus)
- Skilled in leading through ambiguity and driving sustained performance improvement
