Job Description
We are currently seeking a Security Guard to join our team of skilled professionals at our Hawkesbury, ONLocation.
Position Overview
Reporting to Shipping Supervisor, the Security Guard's role is to maintain customer relations, to accurately weigh and document inbound and outbound loads, and ensure safety regulations are followed.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform operating sequences to receive and exit vehicles through incoming and outgoing scales
- Assist in checking all components of the weigh scale system to ascertain all are in working order
- Maintain a control environment in scale house to ensure proper operation of the computerized scale system
- Maintaining the clean environment of the weigh scale house and its perimeter
- Assist in performing key starting instructions on command printer as necessary
- Prepare and issue tickets and receipts as necessary
- Perform minor maintenance on scales, scale house and scale house grounds
- Answer phone, record messages and provide routine information
- Use computer applications or other automated systems such as spreadsheets, word processing, calendar, e-mail and database software in performing work assignments
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalency degree preferred
- Fluent in both French and English (read, write, speak)
- Able to use computer applications such as spreadsheets, word processing, e-mail and database software
