Position Summary
Acuren Group is currently recruiting Condition Based Monitoring Technician (entry level) to support ongoing projects in Dratmouth Nova Scotia. If you are seeking a dynamic environment with opportunities for individual growth and learning, this is for you.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will work closely with Senior CBM specialists and Reliability Engineers to add value to the clients Predictive Maintenance Program.
- This position is field based with travel to multiple work sites.
- Perform vibration analysis on industrial rotating equipment.
- Perform motor circuit testing and analysis of electric motors and circuits.
- Collect and interpret diagnostic data using specialized tools and software.
- Assist in troubleshooting and root cause analysis for equipment failures.
- Support preventative maintenance programs through testing, reporting, and client recommendations.
- Prepare accurate technical reports and communicate findings to engineering staff and customers.
- Travel to customer sites as needed (regional travel, company vehicle provided).
- Adhere to all safety protocols and industry standards during field work.
- Full time, weekend work required, flexible weekdays off
- Initially support other projects throughout Western Canada and North America, as required
- Continuous engagement with client(s) on improving their Predictive Maintenance Program
Requirements

1--5 years of condition-based monitoring (CBM) experience in heavy industry, including balancing and alignment.

Certification as a Vibration Specialist, or willingness to obtain certification.

Training or experience in predictive technologies such as Thermography (Level 1), Motor Circuit Analysis (Level 1), and Ultrasonics (Level 1); current or past certifications in these areas are considered assets.

Experience with industrial equipment maintenance and a willingness to perform hands-on field work in physically demanding environments.

Proficiency with CSI hardware/software and MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Written and verbal English proficiency required.

Diploma or degree in engineering or engineering technology (mechanical or electrical), or equivalent experience.

Eligible for Reliability Status security clearance.
