About the role
Reporting to the Investor Relations Director, the Investor Relations Advisor is responsible for managing and maintaining the back-office functions of Graham. The incumbent manages investor databases, investment schedules, investor communications, capital calls, and generally supports implementation and execution of the investor relations plan and its related initiatives.
As Investor Relations Advisor at Graham you will:
- Contribute towards the discussion and planning of Graham's investor relations strategies and support the execution of those strategies as determined.
- Assist the Director, Investor Relations with the preparation of investor reporting deliverables to Graham's senior executives and board members.
- Prepare and disseminate quarterly and annual investor reports.
- Prepare and coordinate the distribution of investor statements of account and financial materials.
- Overseethe preparation of investment closing materials including cash call notices, securities certificates, trade confirmation notices, letters of instruction, etc.
- Direct the processes related to completing distributions of cash, securities, notes, and property.
- Maintain, update and draft investment templates, standardized forms and announcements, press releases, IR presentations and packages, and any other marketing material for use by Graham.
- Maintain and update Graham's web-based investor portals.
- Assist the Director, Investor Relations with responding to all securities questionnaires and audit requests in a timely manner.
- Facilitate the Know-Your-Client processes, suitability assessments, trade checklists, and all other compliance requirements related to executing a securities transaction through Graham.
- Ensure integrity of database data and security of data sharing with third-party providers.
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures related to security transfers
- Maintain and support complex relationships with institutional, family office and retail investors, financing partners, third-party service administrators, and other stakeholders, including other Exempt Market Dealers, in a manner that reflects and supports Graham's core values.
- Maintain constructive and effective work relationship with key Graham stakeholders, external investors, and other internal stakeholder groups.
Qualifications/Experience
- Completion of a university degree; a degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration is preferred.
- Certified Professional in Investor Relations (CPIR) designation is an asset.
- Completion of the Canadian Securities course is an asset.
- Completion of the Exempt Market Proficiency Course is an asset.
- 3-5 years of relevant industry experience, including experience in finance, communications, or marketing; experience in the construction industry is an asset.
- Cross-border experience is an asset.
- Desire and drive to understand finance and securities.
- Strong understanding of the importance of compliance and the regulatory environment.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite and SAP.
