Job Description
The Member Service Representative provides excellent customer service to our Members both at the front counter and via phone/email. They uncover opportunities to assist Members with banking solutions and refer them to appropriate branch partners to help achieve their financial goals. The MSR ensures adherence to operating procedures and policies to safeguard assets and Members.
Key Responsibilities
- Create an exceptional Member experience by developing relationships, maintaining communication, and providing timely, value-added information and advice to increase satisfaction.
- Handle Member requests for deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and basic transactions. Assist with ATM, MasterCard, and Debit Card inquiries and applications.
- Promote credit union products and services, including investments and loans, and refer to specialists as needed.
- Balance daily cash and assist with ATM loading and balancing, reporting discrepancies immediately.
- Prepare and audit reports, manage investment renewals, and perform internal accounting tasks.
- Identify opportunities for credit card applications and conduct regular care calls.
- Open new accounts and resolve Member concerns proactively, referring complex issues to the Manager.
- Support a culture of innovation and efficiency, ensuring compliance with procedures and participating in audits.
- Develop community relationships and attract new Members by participating in events and establishing local contacts.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Post-Secondary preferred)
- Cash handling experience
- Minimum 2 years experience assisting Members in a bank or credit union is an asset
- Sales experience is considered an asset
Additional Information
Hourly Wage Range: $22.51 - $25.77
The wage will be determined based on skills, experience, education, and qualifications.
