Iris's direct client, one of the Top 5 Bank in Canada, is looking to hire a Senior Quality Engineer - SDET for a long term opportunity at Toronto, ON (Hybrid Position). Title: SDETLocation: Toronto, ON, CanadaJob Type: Contract (Open-Ended) Experience Level: SeniorKey Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reusable test automation frameworks using Java. Collaborate with developers, QA analysts, and product managers to understand requirements and define comprehensive test strategies.
Create and execute functional, integration, regression, and performance test suites. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and ensure high test coverage. Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving test code quality and efficiency.
Identify, document, and track bugs; drive issues to resolution. Advocate for testability and software quality across the development lifecycle. Required Skills \& Qualifications:10 years of experience as an SDET or Automation Test Engineer.
Strong programming skills in Java (mandatory). Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, or similar frameworks. Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Bamboo).
Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, including TDD/BDD. Familiarity with REST API testing tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured). Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
