Responsibilities
- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
- Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee vehicle maintenance
- Load and unload goods
- Address customer complaints or concerns
- Transport and handle dangerous goods
- Record cargo information, hours of service, and fuel consumption
- Receive and relay information to dispatch
Qualifications
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 2 to 3 years of experience
- Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
- Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
- Knowledge of accident reports, bill of lading, driver logbook, inspection reports, and trans-border documentation
Travel \& Work Conditions
- Willing to travel cross-border, internationally, overnight, and for extended periods
- Physically demanding with handling heavy loads up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
