The IT Manager will lead and oversee all IT operations within the organization, ensuring systems function smoothly, securely, and efficiently. This role involves managing the in-house IT team, driving strategic decisions on IT infrastructure, and recommending innovative solutions to enhance operational effectiveness. The successful candidate will be responsible for IT project management, cross-functional collaboration, and process optimization. Additionally, they will assess opportunities for outsourcing specific IT services while identifying and addressing inefficiencies in current workflows.
Reporting Responsibilities:
The IT Manager reports directly to the Vice President Corporate Services.
Education Required:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA, CISSP) are a plus.
Decision Making:
Ability to plan projects that may take up to 2-3 years to complete.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

At least 5-7 years of experience in IT, with at least 3 years in a managerial role. Strong experience with system administration, network management, and security protocols.

Experience supporting IT operations within a franchise-based or distributed campus system is strongly preferred.

An understanding of the unique challenges of decentralized environments -- including remote support, permissions management, and maintaining consistency across multiple locations is a valuable asset.

Proficiency in managing hardware, software, networks, and IT systems.

Familiarity with cloud technologies and security best practices.

Superb skills with Microsoft 365 (Dynamics SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).

Experience with CRMs and integrating multiple programs and databases.

Proven ability to manage a team and communicate effectively with senior leadership. Ability to translate technical language for non-technical stakeholders.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a focus on efficiency and speed.
Specific Responsibilities:
Team Leadership \& Accountability:Manage the day-to-day activities of the IT department, including supervising the IT admin, developer, and security personnel. Foster accountability within the team and ensure tasks are completed within agreed timelines.
Campus Support: Maintain and support all core IT systems used across corporate-owned and franchise campuses, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues and alignment with Spirit ofMath standards. Provide technical support and infrastructure coordination for Releasing the Genius (RTG) platform, including troubleshooting, updates and user onboarding.
IT Strategy \& Planning:Design and implement IT strategies aligned with organizational goals. Ensure that IT supports business operations and helps scale company systems and processes.
Project Management:Oversee IT projects from start to finish, including budget management, resource allocation, and timelines. Ensure that projects are completed on time, on budget, and meet specifications.
System \& Network Administration:Manage network infrastructure, hardware, and software solutions. Monitor system performance and ensure the security and integrity of data and systems.
Security Oversight:Implement and manage security protocols to ensure company data is protected. Evaluate the current level of security and recommend changes based on organizational needs.
Vendor Management \& Outsourcing:Assess the potential need for outsourcing IT services and work with external vendors when necessary. Ensure that any outsourced work meets internal expectations for quality and security.
Troubleshooting \& Support:Provide support for internal staff on IT issues. Act as the primary point of contact for resolving technical problems and ensure prompt resolution.
Documentation \& Reporting:Maintain documentation for all IT systems, including processes, policies, and procedures. Provide regular reports on system performance, issues, and improvements to senior management.
Authorities:
The IT Manager has the following authorities:
- Lead, motivate, and develop staff within the IT Department.
- Authorized to make operational decisions related to the support and technical enablement of campus locations and franchises.
- Oversee and prioritize all internal IT operations, infrastructure and support services.
- Approve and assign IT tickets, ensuring timely resolution and escalation when needed.
- Supervise IT team members and manage their workloads, performance, and professional development.
- Select and manage IT vendors and service providers within approved budgets.
- Make technical decisions regarding system upgrades, security protocols, and hardware/software purchases (in alignment with organizational policies).
- Define, document, and enforce IT policies and procedures, including cybersecurity protocols and disaster recovery readiness.
- Recommend and lead IT-related projects and process improvements across departments.
