We are currently seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Forklift Operator. The role involves preparing loads and unloading building materials in the warehouse through the safe operation of a lift truck. The Forklift Operator collaborates with team members to exceed customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily inspections of lift trucks and complete required forms.
- Ensure lift truck maintenance and servicing requirements are met.
- Build orders to required specifications for delivery.
- Load and unload building materials safely and efficiently.
- Check load contents for accuracy and secure materials.
- Ensure all products are shipped on schedule according to management instructions to meet customer demands.
- Maintain communication with supervisors and resolve issues as they arise.
- Represent the company positively with employees and customers.
- Follow all regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Basic Qualifications
- Valid forklift certification (propane).
- Minimum of two years' experience.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of basic mathematics.
- Basic hand tool skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Sitting and driving for extended periods.
- Frequently climbing stairs.
- Pulling, pushing, bending, and torso twisting with weight.
