Summary:
The technician will inspect, fabricate, assemble, install, and repair structures, ensure compliance with standards and procedures, document deviations, coordinate corrective action, and collaborate with teams to guarantee quality and meet deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled structural tasks;
- Perform inspections, fabricate, assemble, install, and repair sheet metal structures and components;
- Document deviations and raise non-conformance reports by company policies and procedures, as well as customer manuals, as required;
- Determine appropriate corrective actions needed to rectify deviations.
- Perform a wide range of activities related to aircraft structures;
- Perform modification activities;
- Document maintenance actions in accordance with company policies and procedures, as well as customer manuals, as required;
- Complete various forms, files, and documents in accordance with company policies and procedures and customer manuals, as required;
- Estimate time required to complete non-conformance reports and coordinate with various supervisors to ensure work requirements for all positions have been addressed.
- Identify and make purchase requisitions.
Skills and qualifications:
- Diploma in aircraft maintenance technology, avionics maintenance or aircraft structure recognized by Transport Canada, or other accredited course.
- 5 years' experience working on aircraft(s)
- Ability to work on tasks requiring excellent judgment and initiative
- Have specialized technical skills
- Complete and pass training related to the position;
- Update and communicate to the Human Resources Department his/her skills, work experience, and professional qualifications;
- Report all incidents, accidents, and potential hazards via the SMS.
- Apply and follow policies and procedures related to his/her position.
- A bachelor's degree in aviation or any other aviation-related course is an asset
- Oral and written bilingualism (French-English) is important for communication in the multilingual environment of the customer site and technical documentation.

- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in Aerospace.
