Job Description:
We are currently seeking casual after-hours Cleaners to join our team for 2 weeks in Antigonish. This is a temporary position doing post-construction cleaning in a retail store for the remainder of May.
Responsibilities:
Perform general cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing surfaces
Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and fixtures
Empty and dispose of trash and recycling materials
Clean windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors
Follow established cleaning procedures and protocols to ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
Adhere to health and safety regulations, including the proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals
Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor
Collaborate with team members to complete cleaning tasks efficiently and within designated timeframes
Qualifications:
Previous experience in professional cleaning or janitorial services is preferred but not required; training will be provided
Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and materials is a plus
Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness
Physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Positive attitude and professional demeanor
Flexibility to work during non-standard hours, including evenings and weekends, if required
