Detail-oriented HR Administrator with experience supporting key HR functions, including the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) clearance process as a Designated Official, health and safety compliance through Joint Health and Safety Committee management, and administration of training programs aligned with local security requirements. Skilled in benefits administration, leave of absence management, first aid coordination, and delivering a smooth and compliant onboarding experience. First point of contact for employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, workday support, and vision admin Manages administrative duties pertaining to the Onboarding program Reviews, completes, tracks, and provides significant follow-up on Employee application for controlled goods certification Will be expected to become a Designated Officer as part of CGP Maintains accurate personnel files and ensures confidentiality of information Tracks employment history, promotions, transfers, salaries, professional training, and development Prepares employment verification letters and job change letters Supports our health benefits administration, including claims resolution, annual enrollment, and other general inquiries Manages the Joint Health and Safety Committee; reports on safety, turnover, and other personnel data each month Manages the First Aid program Participates in various HR projects Participates in driving social and wellness activities Supporting the HR Leader in communication: posting articles to the company’s intranet Provides support and training to leaders on the employee engagement survey Managing a yearly training calendar and building training content Maintains and assists with employee inquiries that are sent through a general mailbox Manages all Leave of Absences, working with legal and leave escalation to HR Generalist Manages Work Safe BC: Claims, return to work, compliance requirements, and audit preparation Qualifications: Education & Certification: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field Must be eligible and willing to obtain Designated Official status under the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) Experience: 1-3 years of progressive experience in human resources administration Experience supporting payroll, benefits, onboarding, and HR systems (e.g., Workday) Familiarity with compliance requirements related to health and safety (e.g., Joint Health and Safety Committees, First Aid, and WorkSafe BC) Skills & Competencies: Strong knowledge of HR best practices, benefits administration, and leave management Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities to develop engaging onboarding experiences, training materials, and internal communications Ability to design clear and visually appealing presentations, documents, or HR campaigns (e.g., wellness programs, employee engagement initiatives) Proactive problem-solver with the ability to follow through on complex administrative tasks (e.g., CGP certification process) Ability to manage confidential information with discretion Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems; experience with Workday is an asset Ability to manage multiple priorities, including training support, wellness initiatives, and internal communication Collaborative team player capable of supporting cross-functional HR projects and programs In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the anticipated starting pay for new hires for this position is between $65,000.00- $75,000.00 annually. Full-time employees are also eligible for performance based bonuses and benefits.
