Our National Support Centre provides centralized support and is focused on providing value-added services to our over 350 locations across Canada. Job DescriptionAssist in all areas of the Company benefits plans, including plan design, administration, record keeping, reviewing service agreements, communicating plan changes and premium negotiationsAdminister benefits to our decentralized locations including enrolling teammates in the benefits plan, retirement plans, filing of documents relating to benefits and terminating teammates’ benefits when requiredRespond to teammates’ questions relating to the organization’s benefits and retirement plansAdminister the day to day activities on an active defined contribution pension plan and legacy defined benefit pension plansAnalyze, reconcile and submit monthly and biweekly benefits and retirement remittancesAdminister various leave of absences including disability claims management - STD, LTD, WCB/WSIB/CSST and return to work plansPrepare and review payroll adjustments as needed relating to the Company’s benefits and the defined contribution pension planAdminister and initiate the company wide Wellness, EAP and LifeSpeak programsAssist in negotiating contracts with third party providersFoster a culture of outstanding customer service to our Profit Centre Managers and all teammates across the countryMaintain and update internal processes as requiredParticipate and work on other department projects and tasks as needed QualificationsUniversity degree in HR or University Degree with a college diploma in HR3+ years of relevant experience in the benefits and pension area Excellent customer service skills with the ability to work in a team environmentSound knowledge of a flex benefits programExcellent relationship building and interpersonal skillsPositive attitude and enthusiasmAbility to maintain confidentiality and comply with legislation and internal policiesDetail oriented, strong organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple initiatives at one time in a fast-paced environmentExcellent written and verbal communication as well as presentation skillsKnowledge of pension plan rules is an assetKnowledge of Payroll is an assetExperience with PeopleSoft is an assetProficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPointBilingual in FrenchAdditional InformationSalary Range: $62,000 - $68,000 EMCO is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to maintaining a discrimination, harassment, and barrier free workplace where all employees can contribute to their fullest potential.
