You’ll design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance data architecture that empowers teams across the organization to make smarter, faster decisions. You’ll bring both strategic vision and technical depth, working closely with business and IT leaders to turn data into one of Dexterra’s most valuable assets.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic PlanningDevelop and lead a comprehensive data strategy that aligns with Dexterra’s mission and growth.Establish data governance policies that promote quality, security, and compliance.Technical LeadershipDesign and manage enterprise data architectures, including modeling, integration, and warehousing.Stay ahead of the curve by evaluating new technologies that enhance our data capabilities.Collaboration and CommunicationPartner with business and IT teams to understand data needs and translate them into effective solutions.Create clear, user-friendly documentation and architecture diagrams.Project ManagementLead data integration projects across legacy systems, cloud platforms, and third-party tools.Mentor and support data engineers and analysts, encouraging continuous learning and innovation.Operational ExcellenceEnsure our data is stored securely and managed efficiently, in line with privacy regulations.Continuously optimize systems for performance, scalability, and reliability.QualificationsWHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?Post secondary degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.Proven experience as an Enterprise Data Architect or in a similar role.Deep knowledge of data architecture principles, modeling, and integration.Hands-on experience with SQL, NoSQL, and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and compliance standards.Experience with BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI.Strong communication and leadership skills, with a collaborative mindset.ALSO GREAT TO HAVEExperience with tools like ERwin or PowerDesigner.Knowledge of big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).A background in vendor management or cost-benefit analysis for data projects.
