Company Description Job DescriptionDuties for this position will include, but not be limited to the following:Repair critical electrical equipment, perform preventive and predictive maintenance, and complete projects such as mechanical and electrical hardware and software upgrades.Repair or replace control devices such as switches, proximity sensors, push buttons, contactors, motor starts, thermocouples etc. as needed.Responsible for making PLC program changes, installations or updates to maintain proper operationsDetecting, troubleshooting and repairing malfunctions in all types of equipment including hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical functions.Read and interpret drawings for conveyors, machines and building.Perform routine maintenance work on machinery, including conveyors and/or cranes.Detect and troubleshoot issues related to facilities maintenance, if required.Practice good housekeeping and time management in the performance of daily duties.Comply with the Electrical Safety Authority.Comply with all legislated and company health, safety and environmental policies, procedures and programs, including lockout/tagout.Work independently with minimal supervision and in a team structure as the project requires.All other duties assigned.QualificationsMust have related electrical maintenance experience in an industrial environment.Certification as an industrial Electrician (442A) or as a Construction Electrician (309A) and strong background in PLC maintenance.Previous crane, conveyor, pneumatic and hydraulic maintenance experience is a definite asset.Possesses skill in interpreting blueprints and technical drawings, especially electrical drawing.The position will require flexibility to work overtime as requested.Additional InformationA Canadian company in business for over 60 years!Company-paid benefits with some (medical and life insurance) starting upon hire and others post-probation.Profit-sharing bonuses.Company-contributed pension plan.Wellness account, annual safety boot allowance, supplied uniforms and PPE.Vacation, other bonuses negotiated through the Collective Agreement with LIUNA Local 183.Excellent growth opportunities for employees willing to learn and perform.Company Description
