The Senior Analyst, Project/Program Management will be responsible for supporting the global needs and requirements of its R&D customers and other associated groups. They will play an integral role in supporting overall financial management of the R&D organization. Your Responsibilities Duties and responsibilities include: Provide assistance and support for the development, planning, approval, and go forward management of Operating and Capital budgets, Asset Planning, and Purchasing. Responsible for monitoring and ensuring expenditures correlate to budget and highlighting in advance any deviations to plan. Act as a trusted business partner for the R&D business. Work with business leaders to prepare annual budgets and quarterly forecast outlooks for areas of support, keeping with Corporate calendar budget cycle requirements. Provide monthly and quarterly financial results packages for business leaders; includes working to help identify variances to plan (both spending and headcount) risks/Opportunities and recommendations for improvement. Any additional general support to the global team that may be required. Collaboration with stakeholders Teamwork with R&D colleagues and overall support groups Strong collaboration within the R&D team, HR, Finance, Accounting, Purchasing, IT. Experience and Skills Critical thinker and problem-solving skills Excellent finance, planning and accounting skills. Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills. Knowledge of financial/ERP systems and Microsoft office products. Proven ability to monitor financial discipline and accountability within a global support organization. Flexible, able to handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Salary Range: The salary range for this role in Canada is $87, 000 - $139, 000 Pay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business. Please note that the pay range information provided in this posting pertains specifically to the primary location, which is the top location listed in case multiple locations are available. Non-Sales employees may be eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus, while Sales employees may be eligible for a sales commission.
