Reporting to the Bakery Team Leader, responsibilities for this position include the following:
• Demonstrate the behaviors and actions to support Lake Country Co-operative’s vision, mission, and safety principles to make a difference in members lives, with a strong customer focused approach.
• Provide Legendary Service at all touch points through various communication channels.
• Design and decorate cakes according to customer orders and Lake Country Co-operative standards.
• Arrange and display decorated cakes in an attractive manner, both in the display cases and on special occasions.
• Ensure to keep a clean and well-maintained department.
• Manage time to fulfill customer orders promptly while maintaining the quality of work.
• Maintain and display all types of bakery products according to department standards.
• Continually monitor code dates to always ensure the freshest inventory on the shelf; follow First in, first out (FIFO).
• Take cake orders and cake writing as required.
• Support and follow Asset Protection and Safety Management systems, policies, and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Who you are:
You are looking for a career in Retail Store Operations and Customer Service:
• You have previous experience as a cake decorator or in a related field; you have knowledge of various cake decorating techniques and trends.
• You have artistic ability and creative flair to design visually appealing cakes.
• You are honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented, and are proud of the work that you do.
• You are well organized and capable of attaining a high level of production, with a minimum amount of supervision.
• You are familiar with Food Safe procedures and practices.
• You have the ability to fulfill physical job requirements, heavy lifting, repetitive movements, standing entire shift.
• You have a flexible work schedule; weekend and evening work is required.
