Job Summary Group Risk Management (“GRM”) - Wholesale Credit provides risk assessment and adjudication of complex Capital Markets and Corporate Client Group borrowers/transactions. Through effective analysis of business and financial risk, Wholesale Credit evaluates and recommends corporate and leveraged finance transactions including M&A, leveraged buyouts, and debt/equity bridges to Managing Directors and SVPs while balancing risk and return. The GRM Wholesale Credit Rotational Associate Program offers an unparalleled opportunity to gain experience across various teams and sectors as we work with our business partners to provide lending and financing strategies for our global corporate and institutional clients. Job Description What is your opportunity? In this 2-year rotation program, you will complete 4 six-month rotations where you will collaborate with leaders on complex transactions, build a strong network across RBC, and have the opportunity to be placed in Wholesale Credit upon program completion. A key emphasis of the program is to encourage diversity and therefore, we will also be considering individuals with non-traditional educational and/or work backgrounds who have historically not had a natural path into Wholesale Credit. Challenging and impactful assignments in dynamic, collaborative, and high-performing teams covering a variety of sectors including Consumer, Retail, Industrials, Healthcare, Real Estate, Technology, Media, Energy, Financial Services, and Infrastructure Complete formal credit training as well as mentorship and coaching throughout the program to support your development Build your network across the organization through exposure to senior leadership and opportunities Rotations will primarily be with GRM WCR teams in Toronto but there may be opportunities to complete a rotation remotely with global teams and/or with GRM teams outside WCR to provide a more diverse experience Potential for future full-time placement on one of the GRM WCR teams What do you need to succeed? Must-have Minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with a minimum GPA of 3.0 or 75% Minimum of 3 years’ work experience (doesn’t have to be in the financial services sector) Strong interest in pursuing a career in credit risk management Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and some level of financial literacy Strong verbal and written communication skills Analytical, curious, and collaborative mindset with a desire to learn Strong work ethic with ability to quickly scale up on a steep learning curve and work under pressure What’s in it for you?
