Job Summary Job Description What’s the opportunity? As the Senior Manager, Talent Development Programs, you will play a critical role in executing on the RBC Chief Audit Executive (CAE) Group’s talent strategy and developing future leaders. You will be responsible for leading the CAE Group’s talent development rotational programs, including the RBC Certified Professional Accountants (CPA) Pre-Approved Program and the Internal Audit stream of the RBC Leadership Development Program. You will also have oversight over the Associates in the Internal Audit stream of the Indigenous Development Program and CAE Group Co-op and Summer Students. What will you do? Overseeing the end-to-end planning, execution and delivery of the talent programs, including working closely with key stakeholders to enhance program design and create greater efficiency, impact and a differentiated development experience. In close partnership with the Early Talent Recruitment team, lead the recruitment process for each of the programs in order to source, attract and acquire a diverse slate of strong talent. This includes developing and maintaining strong relationships with top tier schools and career centres. Acting as a People Manager to all program Associates (in addition to the Rotation Managers they report to during their program rotations). This includes providing ongoing coaching & feedback, identifying & addressing performance development opportunities, maintaining positive culture & engagement, and ensuring appropriate learning & mentorship. Leading various program events and initiatives such as orientation & onboarding programs, innovation challenges, leadership speaker series, recruitment events, and more. Establishing strategic key performance indicators and using data-driven insights to evaluate program effectiveness, track Associate progress, and demonstrate the return on investment of the programs and initiatives. Partnering with CPA Ontario, Associates, Rotation Managers and Mentors to ensure an updated competency map, provide support in using the Practical Experience Reporting Tool (PERT) and oversee the achievement of required CPA experience and competency requirements. Partnering with senior leaders in the ongoing development and execution of the programs, and providing updates as required to the Executive team and/or other key stakeholders. What do you need to succeed? Must-have Post-secondary degree A minimum of 6-8 years of work experience in recruitment, talent development, HR or a related field Excellent communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills Experience with assessing, selecting and hiring candidates Proven ability to lead large programs and initiatives Strong organizational skills, including multitasking, time management and attention to detail Nice to have: Experience in financial institutions What’s in it for you?
