One of our partner companies is currently looking for a Senior Engineering Manager in Canada.
As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will lead high-performing software development teams focused on delivering scalable, cloud-native solutions that support core product features, third-party integrations, and robust APIs. You will collaborate closely with product, design, QA, SRE, and support teams to drive alignment, innovation, and execution. This is a leadership role where you’ll balance people management with technical guidance, ensuring your team meets business goals while maintaining high engineering standards. Accountabilities:
- Lead, mentor, and scale engineering teams while fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation
- Oversee the delivery of scalable cloud-native software using modern languages and frameworks (e.g., TypeScript, NodeJS, React, Java, AWS)
- Manage team workflows, setting clear goals, monitoring performance, and addressing risks
- Support and guide architectural and technical decisions in line with product strategy
- Coordinate cross-functional initiatives across engineering, product, and design teams
- Present technical progress, risks, and successes to senior leadership and stakeholders
- Uphold and continuously improve engineering best practices, including CI/CD and observability
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in software development
- 3+ years in engineering leadership, with a strong focus on team mentorship and professional development
- Deep understanding of software development lifecycles, Agile methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with cloud architecture and modern monitoring tools such as Datadog, Dynatrace, or Sentry
- Strong technical literacy and awareness of industry trends and best practices
- Proven ability to manage complex projects, prioritize tasks, and drive cross-functional collaboration
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Growth mindset with a curiosity to solve problems collaboratively and proactively
