Job Overview
The University of Alberta Students' Union (UASU) is striking a Strategic Plan Steering
Committee to provide leadership, guidance, and oversight for the strategic planning process and
the development of the UASU Strategic Plan. The Committee will work collaboratively to set
clear goals, objectives, and priorities to serve as a blueprint for the organization's future growth,
sustainability, and success.
The UASU is looking for up to two (2) Students-at-Large who will sit on the Strategic Plan
Steering Committee. They will give student input and feedback on the strategic plan and help
with other duties that may be required of them.

General Duties and Responsibilities
1) to attend meetings of the Strategic Plan Steering Committee
2) to facilitate communication from the undergraduate student body to the committee.
3) to serve as a sounding board for new ideas and opportunities for growth
4) to monitor progress, which may include tracking timelines
Hours
The Steering Committee will hold bi-weekly meetings from September 2025 to March 2026.
Qualifications.
1) Must be registered as an undergraduate student at the University of Alberta for the 2025-26
academic year.
2) Must have an interest in student issues at the University of Alberta and a desire to represent
the best interests of students to the Students' Union.
