About the Role: As a member of the Marketing & Product team, the Portfolio Specialist serves as a key liaison between the Investment Management Team, Sales & Distribution, and Clients/Prospects. The role requires deep knowledge of investment products, strategies and a broad understanding of market conditions that influence asset allocation and portfolio positioning. The Portfolio Specialist is responsible for ensuring that product insights, market trends and investment strategies are effectively communicated to both internal and external stakeholders. Your Responsibilities: Sales & Marketing Support Manage questions and requests from Sales and the RFP group on investment products; Draft and verify RFP responses and due diligence materials with appropriate personnel Work in cooperation with Marketing colleagues to develop or update sales presentations, brochures and other collateral; Coordinate with Compliance to ensure materials adhere to regulatory standards Content Creation Write fund commentaries, white papers and product-specific market insights to communicate portfolio positioning and outlook; Develop thought leadership content for both internal and external audiences Create and maintain on a consistent basis presentation material and decks for portfolio managers and sales staff Research & Analysis Stay informed on economic indicators, market conditions and portfolio positioning for use in creating regular internal investment communications and ad-hoc notes Collaborate with portfolio managers to produce data-driven insights and thematic updates Client-Facing & Stakeholder Engagement Lead or participate in meetings with existing and prospective clients, covering portfolio strategy, performance and market outlook Represent mandate at conferences, roadshows and advisor events, delivering presentations on investment strategies Collaborate with strategic partners and other internal teams to address client needs and maintain strong relationships Your Qualifications: Investment Knowledge: In-depth understanding of investment products and relevant market dynamics; Familiarity with economic indicators, macro trends and portfolio construction principles Writing, Communication & Presentations: Demonstrated ability to create institutional-quality content (e.g. commentaries, white papers); Excellent verbal communication to deliver presentations, explain complex concepts and address client inquiries Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment Interpersonal & Relationship Management: Ability to work cross-functionally with Sales, Compliance, Portfolio Managers and other teams; Strong relationship building skills for managing internal and external stakeholders Compliance Awareness: Familiarity with regulatory standards and ability to produce materials that meet compliance guidelines a plus Technical Proficiency: Competency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel) and familiarity with financial data tools (Bloomberg, FactSet) for research and presentation development Education: Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics or related field required (advanced degree an asset); Interest or completion of relevant professional designations (e.g., CFA, CAIA) an asset No unsolicited agency referrals please.
