This role is Fredericton, NB Intern – Training Design Position Summary Thales is seeking an upper-year student for a 14-week summer term to support the development of a Cyber Education Program. This is an exciting opportunity for a student with a strong foundation in networking and security to gain hands-on experience in cybersecurity education development, infrastructure design, and cyber range deployment. Build a portfolio of technical training and cyber range content. Key Areas of Responsibility Develop training materials for a Cyber Education Program: Network Security (topologies, devices, standards, packet analysis, cryptography, troubleshooting, etc.) System Hardening (OS, services, network, identity management, etc.) Vulnerability and Penetration Testing (Recon, OSINT, Web application and network attacks, wireless security, password cracking, social engineering, etc.) Create PowerPoint presentations and trainer notes. Design and build practice exercises on the Cyber Range. Build custom topologies and configure environments in the Cyber Range to support training content. Potential basic web development to support the exercises Minimum Requirements Upper-year undergraduate student in Computer Science. Strong knowledge of networking concepts and cybersecurity principles. Familiarity with network topologies, system administration, penetration testing tools, and basic cryptography. Ability to work independently and follow structured course outlines. Previous experience with cyber ranges or virtualization environments is an asset, but training will be provided.
