You Will: The successful candidate will fulfill the ABSA requirement for a third-class Shift Engineer once fully trained. Being able to take direction and work under supervision. Utilize the Plant distributed control systems to safely monitor the Harmattan facility to meet production targets. Maintain and troubleshoot all area-specific equipment to optimize performance to meet production targets. Prepare daily operations logs and records. Support all maintenance activities. Provide assistance, coaching, on-the-job training and assessments as required. Participate in the development and review of safe operating procedures. Participate in the site Health and Safety Program and take an active role in the Harmattan Emergency Response Team. Maintain plant housekeeping standards. You Bring: Minimum 3rd Class Power Engineering certificate. Minimum 2 years of plant operating experience. Experience operating distributed control systems. Experience in the operation of steam generating equipment and gas processing associated processes and systems. Experience in the development of equipment isolation in preparation for maintenance. Experience in the development of safe operating procedures. Experience in safe work permitting. Proficiency with computers and computer systems (i.e., Microsoft Office Suite). Excellent mechanical aptitude. The ability to work in a collaborative team environment. A willingness to grow into increased operational responsibilities.
