DAP Canada is looking for an Office & HR Administrator to oversee the day-to-day administrative tasks associated with the business, such as finance support, payroll & benefits, mail, and customer communications. This role reports to the HR Director; dotted line to General Manager andis based at DAP Canada’s office/warehouse facility in Scarborough until the business relocates to Concord, Ontario in January 2026.
Responsibilities:
Finance support
Assist Finance department with the processing of defectives, shortages, overages, pricing issues, etc.
Process Canadian check requests, mail checks and match incoming checks with invoices
Support Customer inquiries
Provide customers with invoice copies, POD’s, packing slips as needed
Answer main office phone line
Generate monthly sales reports for Buying Group customers as needed
Supplier Processing
Code supplier invoices to appropriate cost centers
Set up new suppliers
Assist with credit applications
Track vacation accruals for the DAP Canada associates
Maintain and pull employee records
Order office supplies and maintain inventory
Representative for Global DAP Ambassador Pgm – a company-wide events and culture team
HR Administration
Process payroll semi-monthly
Manage payroll deductions
RRSP reporting
Stock Purchase Program reporting
Employee Health Tax reporting at year-end
WSIB – monthly and year-end report
Monthly benefits reporting
General HR functions
Assist with recruitment; schedule interviews, initiate reference checks, etc.
Serve as Company policy administrator, address inquiries regarding the policy
Plan and coordinate employee activities, including service award and other celebrations
Site lead for the employee engagement survey
Conduct new hire orientation; enter new hire data in Oracle.
Create employment offer letters
Other administrative tasks as required and assigned.
Requirements:
Minimum college degree or equivalent work experience.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience; including some payroll experience
Strong computer skills, including SAP and Oracle and Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Organized with good time management skills
Personable, good communication skills and ability to work cooperatively with others at all levels.
Basic accounting skills would be an asset
