Job Summary Job Description What is the opportunity? Reporting to the Associate Director Longevity Reinsurance Valuation, the successful candidate will be responsible to support the actuarial and risk management functions for the International Insurance business. What will you do? The successful candidate will be working on the experience study of UK longevity reinsurance and US life reinsurance product. Analyze claim data in the past decade, compare the actual mortality/longevity experience with expected, recalibrate best estimate assumptions, and project future experience and key financial matrices Analyze annual industry mortality/longevity studies provided by IFoA, SOA, and CIA, to understand industrial trending as well as our business strengths/opportunities Provide independent reviews on mortality/longevity assumptions for pricing Support monthly financial reporting for investigations Support regulatory changes, for example IFRS requirement and internal/external auditing What will you need to succeed? Must-Haves Bachelor’s degree (or above) majoring in Actuarial Science. Other relevant Majors (e.g. Business, Economics, Mathematics, or Statistics) are acceptable if accompanied with demonstrated knowledge of Actuarial concepts. More than 2 to 3 actuarial exams are preferred Actuarial/insurance experience with demonstrated knowledge of professional standards of practice, the legislative environment and industry best-practices Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be an innovative thinker and understand the "big picture" High energy, results-oriented self-starter with the ability to achieve under tight deadlines in a rewarding and fast paced environment Working experience with Excel and GGY AXIS Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with both technical and non-technical audiences Nice-to-Haves Working experience with R, Tableau, and SQL What’s in it for you?
