Guidepoint seeks a Data Engineer as an integral member of the Toronto-based Data/AI team. The Toronto Technology Hub will serve as the base of our new Data/AI team, dedicated to building a modern data infrastructure for advanced analytics and the development of responsible AI. This strategic investment is integral to Guidepoint’s vision for the future, aiming to develop cutting-edge Generative AI and analytical capabilities that will underpin Guidepoint’s Next-Gen research enablement platform and data products.
This will be a hybrid position in our Toronto office.
What You’ll Do:
Collaborate with data architects, data scientists, analysts, and other business consumers to quickly and thoroughly analyze business requirements to populate the data warehouse, optimized for reporting and analytics.
Work with senior data engineers on best practices in data engineering and Lakehouse architecture.
Drive innovation and contribute to the development of cutting-edge Generative AI and analytical capabilities for Guidepoint's Next-Gen research enablement platform.
What You Have:
Demonstrated proactive engagement with eagerness to learn
Excellent communication skills, adept at articulating complex ideas with clarity and precision
Collaborative in approach, actively seeking guidance when necessary
Skilled in data engineering concepts and languages, notably SQL, PySpark, Dbt, DLT
Some familiarity with Databricks Platform and Knowledge Graph concepts
Knowledgeable in Lakehouse architecture and OpenAI APIs
Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
