Job Description: Position: 2025 Harvest Cellar Hand, Laughing Stock Vineyards Location: Laughing Stock Vineyards (Penticton, BC) Status: Seasonal / Full-Time (mid August to December) Vacancies: 1 We are looking for Harvest Cellar Hands for our 2025 Crush Team. Laughing Stock Vineyards is a boutique winery on the Naramata Bench near Penticton, BC. We work hard at trying not to live up to our name, and thus aim to make serious wines with a light-hearted attitude. In the past 20 years, our winery has become one of the most respected and sought-after wine producers in BC. The role as Harvest Cellar Hand you will work closely with our Winemaking team in the creation of our award-winning wine. Key responsibilities and duties are as follows: Grape Processing: Grape Reception, Sorting, Destemming, Crushing, and Pressing Fermentation Management: Inoculations, Nutrient Additions, Sampling, Pump Overs, Punch Downs, Sugar Monitoring, and Digging Out of Fermenters Cellar Work: Barrel Work, Racking and Product Transfers Cellar Sanitation: Tank & Barrel Cleaning, and general cleaning of facility and winery equipment Safe Operation of Cellar Forklift and Other Winery Equipment (Training Provided) Follow all safety procedures as directed by standard operating procedures Other Duties as Required Qualifications: Cellar experience is an asset (we will also provide training) Hard working with good communication skills and a positive attitude Flexible with work hours and willing to work overtime as needed Hourly wage: $23-25 We are committed to establishing a qualified workforce that reflects the diverse population it serves and we encourage applications from all qualified individuals.
