The Municipal Development Coordinator will be instrumental in identifying and evaluating potential municipal contract opportunities, conducting initial assessments to determine viability, and effectively communicating these opportunities to our field staff for pursuit. This role also involves diligently tracking the progress of these opportunities and actively researching new avenues for company growth, requiring a strong understanding of current capabilities and the broader industry landscape. Duties and Responsibilities Identify and generate new sales leads using advanced online tools and research techniques. Create and distribute internal memos summarizing potential business opportunities; monitor progress and ensure timely follow-up actions throughout the municipal sales cycle. Conduct comprehensive market research to analyze customer trends, identify growth opportunities, and understand key players in local markets to maximize the potential for value-driven contracts. Support the business development process by understanding customer needs and assisting in the development of tailored outreach strategies that align with their requirements. Foster and maintain strong cross-functional relationships to effectively support the sales team and enhance overall collaboration. Track outreach and performance, delivering regular updates and actionable, data-driven insights to inform strategic decision-making. Assist in preparing presentations for both internal and external stakeholders; actively engage in municipal waste management committees and conferences as needed. Perform other duties as assigned to support team objectives and organizational goals. Qualifications Demonstrated experience in writing professional documentation such as Presentations, Reports and Proposals. Strong market knowledge and commercial awareness of the waste management and/or municipal sectors Proven experience driving performance improvements using customer insights, market analysis and data evidence. Undergraduate degree or diploma required, preferably in business administration or related field. An equivalent of the same in working experience is also acceptable for the position.
