We’ve got what you’re looking for. Job Description: Parsons is seeking an amazingly talented Maintenance Scheduler/Planner to join our team! In this role, you will contribute to a mine site remediation project's safe, efficient, and profitable operation as a member of the Care & Maintenance (C&M) Team. Local Candidates preferred but open to candidates who are available on a fly-in/fly-out rotational basis. This position works shifts of 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off with 12 hours per shift. This role includes paid travel to and from the site as well as housing accommodations, but employees are responsible for providing their own food/meals. Positions begin on a Temporary Fixed-Term basis with the potential to move to a regular, full-time role in the future. What You'll Be Doing: The Planner Scheduler will be responsible for developing and maintaining detailed schedules for maintenance activities involving electricians, mechanics, carpenters, millwrights, and heavy equipment operators (HEOs), as well as for water treatment operations. This role requires close collaboration with project managers, maintenance teams, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient execution of tasks. You will also be building standard material associations within the maintenance program. Plan activities for the Faro Mine Remediation Project. Prepare standard level of effort of the proposed trades to complete the work, materials, tools, and equipment associations based on the planned package. Adhere to maintenance business processes outlined in Maintenance Planning and Control (MPC) using approved systems (Maintenance Connection), tools, and standards. Establish and maintain work relationships with key plant stakeholders, including superintendents, supervisors, other schedulers, planners, crew members, etc. Execute the “Planning” element of the process for all types of work orders - systematic and non-systematic maintenance. This includes shutdowns (PMP) and external resource-related work. Ensure work orders are planned with an emphasis on safety, clearly noting potential hazards and mitigations. Provide weekly updates on the model work order development progress. What Required Skills You'll Bring: Grade 12 completed or GED equivalency with equivalent experience is required. Familiarity with maintenance operations involving electricians, mechanics, carpenters, millwrights, and HEOs. Proven experience in planning and scheduling, preferably in a remediation or construction environment. Comfortable working in remote locations The ideal candidate will have good computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office Pro and computerized maintenance platforms. They should also have excellent written and oral communication abilities. Must be obsessed with safety and risk mitigation. Demonstrate open and transparent dialogue in all aspects of work, along with strong collaborative skills. Valid class 5 driver’s license required. What Desired Skills You'll Bring: A college diploma or university degree in a related industrial or engineering discipline is preferred. A valid Heavy Duty Equipment Technician, Millwright or Electrician trade certificate is preferred A minimum of three years of experience working with any computerized maintenance system in a planner or scheduler role is preferred.
