To learn more about CIBC, please visit CIBC.com What You’ll Be Doing As the Director, Program Management, you’ll be joining the Business Effectiveness team within Commercial Banking and Wealth Management (CB&WM). Leading a team of project management professionals, you’ll be responsible for the alignment of project objectives and successful delivery of business and technology projects to advance our transformation mandate. As a key relationship manager with the leaders of various lines of business (Private Wealth Management, CIBC Asset Management, Commercial Banking) you will take a client-first approach to ensuring that the strategic goals of the projects are met and benefits realized. You will contribute to the prioritization of multiple projects based on strategic relevance, urgency and delivery complexity. You will also manage interdependencies between individual projects and communicate risks to the critical path for the Transformation portfolio such that priorities can be set and adjusted with awareness of the potential impact on time, cost or quality. As a champion of change, you will advance an agile mindset in your teams through education, consulting, coaching and mentoring, while ensuring teams adhere to enterprise-wide methodologies. You will leverage this approach to support resource demands for current projects and forecasting future capacity demands to optimize utilization rates. You will assign, develop, assess and oversee the resources assigned to ensure end-to-end delivery of approved projects with impact. How You’ll Succeed Project Delivery - Ensure focus on priority outcomes by leading and overseeing effective project management including appropriate change management disciplines to ensure sustainable benefits are realized, delivery costs are optimized and delivery predictability is transparent. Manage the tracking and reporting of all initiatives throughout the process, managing and escalating risks and issues as appropriate while complying with enterprise standards. Ensure appropriate governance is in place and that decisions are accurately captured and reflected in a central repository for future records management or audit reviews. Relationship Management - Work with experienced business leaders who will empower you to lead your projects, develop your capabilities and make things happen. Build strong relationships by working closely and effectively with many stakeholders at all levels across CB&WM and CIBC. Develop sponsor relationships and accountability. Coaching – Foster an agile mindset across the Transformation team.
