The opportunity The Senior Associate, Performance Analytics reports to the Senior Manager, Performance Analytics and is responsible for performance measurement, attribution and analytical reporting, handling of complex issues and participation in projects. The Senior Associate ensures accuracy through analytical reviews and reasonability checks, while following established procedures, internal controls and Board policies. Who you'll work with You will collaborate with team members and managers and work closely with different functional partners to resolve data and system issues. You will also work with clients to provide support on various reporting and ad hoc requests. What you'll do Take on an active role within the performance team to deliver daily/monthly performance and analytical reporting, as well as to work on various projects Responsible for production of key investment performance and management reporting Deliver insightful and relevant performance analysis and reporting by assessing clients’ requirements to come up with analysis and solutions leveraging available data resources Translate analytical data into a coherent story to deliver value-add insights Build analytical reports for various partners including Investments, Total Fund Management, People & Culture and the Board Develop business analytics solutions to visualize performance data and results in reporting dashboards and apps Respond to ad hoc requests and provide solutions for stakeholders Review work of fellow performance analysts and assist with training of new performance analysts Maintain documentation of business processes Influence, build relationships and communicate effectively Challenge recommendations and beliefs thoughtfully to make valuable contributions to sound decision making Understand the business to anticipate needs and think strategically to move the business forward Provide recommendations and knowledge transfer on data analytics and report design best practices Independently identify issues to work with various functional partners on resolution; escalate issues to management if necessary What you'll need Relevant university degree in business administration, finance or applied mathematics CFA, CIPM designations or working towards completion an asset 3-5 years of relevant experience in performance measurement 5-7 years of experience in financial services / investment management industry Data science skillset with a mindset to apply newly developing AI tools to performance measurement use cases.
