This role will be responsible for leading the Records Management Centre of Excellence covering all of Canadian Banking. In this role, you will collaborate with leaders across all areas of influence, acting as a lead to proactively analyze, create or improve business processes; clearly communicate rationale and negotiate solutions which will enhance business & operational effectiveness in managing privacy and records. You will adaptively provide solutions to achieve results by partnering with teams within other functional areas to drive transformational effectiveness and consistency on governance and standards management. You will establish and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and leaders to effectively influence priorities, facilitate decision making and enhance operational effectiveness. How you'll succeed Records, Data Governance & Privacy Expertise - Implement and lead a sound Records Management program for Canadian Banking to build awareness, ensure ongoing sustainment of our Records management requirements by developing simple clear LOB procedures, and supporting teams to adhere to the Data Lifecycle Management, Data Governance, Privacy and Records Management Policies. Lead preservation of documents with various departments to ensure relevant documents are kept as outlined by Legal. Work as required with Legal to co-ordinate the gathering of relevant records on Legal Cases. Liaise with business partners across the enterprise (Enterprise Data & Records Management Office, Information Security, Privacy Office) to ensure alignment with enterprise policies as records and privacy rules evolve. Support initiatives to meet regulatory requirements and development/deployment of enterprise tools in support of execution to policy. Consult with partners to ensure proper language related to records management is imbedded in vendor controls. Supporting Cross functional & Key Business Partners- Develop & maintain working relationships with LOBs in order to execute/establish service level standards. Develop & maintain working relationships with key stakeholders (e.g. .ERDMO, Privacy, Legal, Internal Audit, Corporate Security, Product, Channels, Privacy Office, Client Care, Enterprise Tools, Third Party Demands Team, etc.). Provide records related consultation on projects as needed. Support initiatives to meet regulatory requirements and development/deployment of enterprise tools in support of execution to policy. Leadership & Development- Provide leadership and effective management of team members by: Setting appropriate context when assigning work to ensure that individuals’ roles support the achievement of the business unit’s priorities and CIBC’s overall goals.
