Consider this opportunity. Ontario Health is seeking a dynamic Consultant to lead planning, implementation, and evaluation of capacity, access, and flow initiatives across the Central region. This role is pivotal in enhancing clinical program delivery and system integration through strategic collaboration with internal teams and external health system partners. Here is what you will be doing: Health System Planning & Change Management Drive regional initiatives to improve access to care and quality in clinical programs (e.g., surgery, medical imaging). Coordinate planning and integration of Integrated Community Health Service Centres (ICHSC's) aligned with provincial and regional priorities. Lead change management efforts with health service providers. Analyze data to identify service gaps and co-design solutions with stakeholders. Champion innovative partnerships that support clinical transformation and access to care. Stakeholder Engagement & System Integration Facilitate engagement with senior health leaders, clinicians, patients/caregivers, and Ministry representatives. Represent Ontario Health at regional and provincial forums to develop and implement best practices and improve outcomes Provide strategic planning input and manage project plans and budgets. Use political acuity and negotiation to build and sustain collaborative relationships. Align efforts across Central Region and Ontario Health to support shared goals. Performance Management Implement tools and guidelines to ensure effective project execution. Monitor and report on initiative outcomes to ensure performance targets are met. Support continuous quality improvement and performance management and evaluation. Issues & Partnership Management Anticipate and mitigate issues through proactive stakeholder engagement. Identify issues and apply strong problem-solving skills to resolve complex challenges. Identify and pursue partnership opportunities that advance Ontario Health initiatives. Here is what you will need to be successful: Education and Experience Master’s degree in health administration, health planning, business administration or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a health care environment. Clinical background is considered an asset. Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in a multi-stakeholder healthcare environment required Experience in the hospital/acute sector an asset Knowledge and Skills An understanding of how health services are delivered in Ontario and a working knowledge of the role of Ontario Health in planning, managing, evaluating and funding regional health care services. Strong written, presentation, and verbal communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills to work effectively with other staff and to liaise with colleagues across Ontario Health and with contacts in the Ministry. Excellent skills in working diplomatically and collaboratively with partners with different perspectives; strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to build and maintain strategic relationships and partnerships with diverse stakeholders Proficient in accessing the internet to support research and superior skills in the use of the MS Office suite including SharePoint, PowerPoint, Word, Excel as well as virtual collaboration/meeting platforms (MS Teams, Zoom) required Demonstrated experience in planning process, analysis and evaluation of health care issues across multiple sectors. Strong project management experience, including demonstrated ability to efficiently plan, organize and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously with limited supervision or direction Ability to exercise sound judgement on issues of a sensitive and contentious nature and able to negotiate to develop consensus around complex policy strategies. Demonstrated experience engaging and working effectively in partnership with a broad range of individuals and organizations of diverse backgrounds, preferably within the health care sector. Experience in analyzing and interpreting performance data, including financial data and quality indicators and evaluating program performance. Use of information to make informed decisions and provide advice; exercise high degree of independence, discretion, and judgment in problem solving; demonstrate integrity and professionalism Strong attention to detail; excellent analytical and problem-solving skills required.
