To learn more about CIBC, please visit CIBC.com What You’ll Be Doing As the Executive Director of Global Regulatory Change Management, reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for successfully leading the Central Regulatory Governance conduit and developing the governance framework. You will manage and oversee the Program Financials, creating governance arrangements from the inception of new changes through the impact assessment and financial planning process. You will identify and engage key stakeholders across the enterprise to ensure alignment, collaboration, and transparency. Additionally, you will establish metrics to monitor the effectiveness of regulatory program delivery and implement a feedback loop to continuously improve regulatory processes based on stakeholder input and regulatory developments. You will establish adequate governance and controls around one-time expenditures and new ongoing costs, ensuring appropriate levels of transparency throughout the process. Additionally, you will implement strategies to control spending while collaborating with partners to allocate resources effectively, promoting financial responsibility and efficiency. Regulatory Change Governance & Strategy Leader: You will oversee Regulatory Change Management governance, initiatives, and delivery by designing and coordinating the global intake process for all potential regulatory changes impacting capital markets. You will ensure a thorough impact assessment of changes from business, technology, and change management perspectives. As part of the fiscal year process for regulatory change, you will be responsible for appropriate and accurate financial planning. You will promote transparency regarding the global pipeline by coordinating and leading governance forums, such as management operating committees and executive leadership committees. You will be accountable for the accuracy of the materials presented, ensuring that key regulatory topics and risks are surfaced appropriately. Additionally, you may lead distinct regulatory change projects within the program as the Business Sponsor, ensuring that delivery aligns with CIBC and group best practices. Furthermore, you will act as a representative of Regulatory Change Management on industry regulatory forums. Regulatory Management & Support: You will provide essential support for 'Business as Usual' regulatory matters impacting Capital Markets, including regulatory examinations and internal audits. You will also assist with ad hoc ongoing activities necessary to ensure regulatory compliance for Capital Markets, contributing to the overall effectiveness and integrity of the regulatory framework. Additionally, you will work with the Global Regulatory Change Management Group and key stakeholders to develop Senior Management Board presentations and updates for regulatory change initiatives, as well as governance updates for Capital Markets for Regulatory Enterprise committees. Relationship Management: You will create a positive work environment and serve as an effective role model by championing CIBC’s mission, vision, and values. You will establish and maintain strong working relationships with counterparts across various business units within CIBC, facilitating the execution of efficient and proactive change in areas such as Compliance, Finance, Legal, Supervision and Governance, Technology, and Operations. Additionally, you will remain accessible to the business throughout the day, actively responding to requests in a timely manner to support collaboration and effectiveness. Who You Are You have undergraduate university degree in Business, Finance or equivalent. You possess 10+ years of relevant financial services industry experience. You have the business acumen. You bring strong knowledge and experience working with businesses within Capital Markets. You can demonstrate strong understanding of the division of major departments in a bank and the flow of information. You are a strong communicator. You bring well developed communication skills and can communicate with different individuals from back office, investigations officers, traders, marketers and middle office with regards to trade bookings and amendments. You are a problem solver. Solid problem solving, analytical thinking and ability to use initiative while responding in a high pressure and fast paced environment. You are passionate about people.
