Description
Scope
Provide specialized technological support to the SPDC Operations and Application teams to ensure smooth data centre migration and no disruption in service for critical MAG operations and applications.
Assignment Deliverables
Augment the current data centre team to assist with the physical and virtual migrations of devices and application environments.
Manage host and middleware configuration and management, virtualization, deployment.
Build, deploy, manage, and support the SPDC in the new GDC cage.
Perform integration testing ahead of User Acceptance Testing.
Test to validate applications are accessible and functioning once migrated.
Desired Skills and Experience
WebSphere Application Server (WAS)
Installation and configuration of WAS in both standalone and federated (ND/DMGR) setups
Creation and management of profiles (cell, node, application server)
Deployment of enterprise applications (EAR, WAR, JAR)
JVM tuning and garbage collection management
SSL configuration, keystore/truststore management (e.g. ikeyman)
Understanding of WebSphere security realms
Troubleshooting startup issues, hung threads, application performance
JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (EAP)
Installation and configuration of JBoss EAP (7.x or later versions) on Linux
Migration from JBOSS Community to JBOSS EAP
Standalone mode configuration
Application deployment and tuning
Datasource configuration (JDBC, XA)
