The typical schedule for this position is Saturdays 8am to 6 pm and Sundays 8am to 2 pm. The role will involve facilitating the timely pick-up and delivery of shipments while maintaining 24/7 communication with our esteemed customers and carriers. QualificationsHands-on dispatch operations for full truckload (FTL) freight moving throughout North America.Display a strong sense of urgency when dealing with customers and account managers requiring dispatch updates.Ensure carriers have the appropriate details/instructions for pickups and deliveries.Update the TMS (transportation management system) with the appropriate load updates.Provide first-class customer service to Customer/Driver inquiries by email and telephone.Communicate with Drivers, Shippers, Receivers and Account Managers to provide and ensure accurate tracking updates.Qualifications and Skills Self-motivated and solid ability to work professionally and autonomously.Superior customer service and communication skills (both spoken and written).Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.Ability to thrive while dealing with several tasks and multiple priorities.Post-Secondary Education preferredProficiency in MS Office applications.Experience:Experience in a Call Centre or Telemarketing environment.Experience within the transportation industry.Understanding of the truckload freight transportation industry.Knowledge of North American geography and roadways.This is a perfect weekend role for a reliable and detailed-oriented individual looking for the ability to work autonomously in a administrative role, in a state-of-the-art workplace (with full kitchen) and foot-thumping music that adds a fun vibe to the workday!Additional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
