Job DescriptionYou will work as Senior Engineer in Active Equities Technology. Through close partnership with traders, investment professionals and operations, you will see firsthand how your software is impacting trade activities and delivering long-term value to the CPP Fund for the benefit of 20 million CPP contributors and beneficiaries.Job Summary As a Senior Software Engineer, you will guide and participate in building and supporting value-add technology solutions and products end-to-end. You will also demonstrate leadership and drive engineering excellence within your team and influence the same across the Technology & Data department.Accountabilities:Own aspects of designing, building, and maintaining scalable and efficient data pipelines to Data Products from various sources to storage and analytical systems.Provide on-call support for production systems, identify and create automation for reducing MTTR and mature operational runbooks.Help implement processes and tools to monitor and improve data quality, including data profiling, data freshness, and ensuring SLA adherence.Demonstrate and apply advanced understanding of technical landscape and the business capabilities it supports to guide othersAdvocate and drive adoption of DevOps & QE culture, supporting presentations in various internal forums and sessions on product releases, best practices, and provide consulting, guidance, and implementation assistance to users/application teams.Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.Stay updated on emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in data engineering and related fields.
