Your Opportunity Our Toronto office is seeking a talented Network Engineer Specialist to join our IT team. As a Network Engineer Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a large, complex IT network and telecom environment across our national network. Your key responsibilities will include: Managing enterprise WAN such as MPLS, VPN, SD-WAN, Internet Core and Branch LAN environment Managing Firewalls and Network Security Microsoft Azure network services Wi-Fi environment WAN Optimization service Microsoft Teams (VoIP and Telephony) Additional responsibilities include: Working with various established service providers and vendors for support, design and roadmaps. Demonstrating a strong skillset to prepare instructional and design documents, sharing knowledge with other team members. Actively providing third level support for network infrastructure in collaboration with other functional groups, business units and vendors. Participating in activities which may only be performed outside normal office operating hours and during weekends, such as deployments, security patches and OS upgrades. You may also need to visit the nearby offices, or our data center. Sharing “On-Call” responsibilities with a team of skilled individuals for after-hours escalations and work when needed. Maintaining up-to-date inventory records. Participating in projects and change management processes for successful IT services outcome. Collaborating with peers and vendors to keep abreast of technological developments, market and product offerings and suggesting best practices for the Firm. How do we define success for your role? You identify, recommend, and are focused on effective service delivery to your clients You share in an inclusive and engaging work environment that develops, retains, and attracts talent You actively participate in the adoption of digital tools and strategies to drive an innovative workplace you must be committed to ongoing learning and professional development to grow your expertise Your experience and education You have at least 5 years’ experience working as a Network professional with at least 3 years of hands-on Juniper or Cisco multilayer switch and router configuration and troubleshooting experience in a 24/7 critical infrastructure system environment across multiple sites. You have solid knowledge and understanding of network technology, architecture and elements, and an understanding of the associated interworking. You have a working experience with Fortinet Firewall, FortiAnalyzer, and FortiManager. You have 2+ years’ experience in configuring and managing WLAN environment for optimal service delivery. Working with MIST and Aruba access points, MIST AI, Aruba ClearPass and Aruba Central is an asset. Knowledge in working with Netscaler load balancer is an asset. You have strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, routing protocols, NAT, VLAN Trunking, VoIP and SIP. VoIP and Telephony background, particularly MS Teams, is an asset. You are familiar with alarming, logging and monitoring technologies. Working experience with ScienceLogic is an asset. You are an organized self-starter in managing deadlines and able to work on multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. You are fluent in English, written and verbal. French is an asset.
