Maintenance Technician
Location: Sydney, NS (In-Office Only)
Schedule: Permanent, Full-Time (40 hours/week) 3 pm-11 pm (Training 8 am -4 pm)
Start Date: ASAP
Are you a hands-on problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment filled with perpetual challenges? Do you love the thrill of jumping from one task to the next, solving problems on the fly, and keeping things running smoothly under pressure? If so, you might be the perfect fit to join our Maintenance team! We’re looking for a multi-tasking, quick-thinking Maintenance Technician to play a key role in supporting our manufacturing operations from the ground up at our newest location in Wilmington.
Why You'll Love it Here
Full disclosure, we work a little differently around here. This isn’t another job where you punch in and punch out—we come to work every day because we wish to earn a living in a meaningful way. We believe too many people exist without finding joy and meaning in their everyday jobs. We spend at least 1/3 of our lives working, so to do this and not be fulfilled or find purpose is just wrong. We create workplaces where our people want to come to work in the morning and feel good when they go home at the end of the day.
You’ll be busy, constantly learning, and always on your toes—and that’s exactly how we like it. We succeed by working together, adapting quickly, and staying focused on solutions.
What You’ll Do
As our Maintenance Technician, you’ll report directly to the Maintenance Leadership Team and work closely with our team to ensure that machinery and equipment are running at peak performance. In our fast-moving environment, your ability to multi-task and stay focused will be essential. Your day-to-day will include:
Performing regular preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment to reduce downtime.
Troubleshooting and repairing equipment malfunctions and resolving production outages.
Keeping our maintenance tracking software up to date with equipment status and logs.
Sourcing repair parts and coordinating with external vendors for timely delivery.
Communicating equipment status and repair updates with management and production teams.
Working alongside your maintenance teammates to boost performance and support growth in our manufacturing capabilities.
This role requires after-hours and on-call availability, including weekends, to quickly address critical equipment issues and maintain our production momentum.
Expect a high-energy setting with ongoing challenges that will keep you engaged and in demand.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who’s both technically skilled and a team player. Ideal candidates will have:
A diploma, certificate, or completion of an apprenticeship program is an asset.
Two or more years of experience in a troubleshooting/maintenance role.
Experience in Electrical background will be an asset.
Physical ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
A proactive mindset, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure—especially in an environment where priorities can shift quickly.
Here’s What We Offer:
Besides a starting total compensation package ranging from $50,432 to $55,895 CAD you will also enjoy the following benefits
